Teamsters Local 776 update on the COVID-19
Crisis and Governor Wolf’s Emergency Executive Order
Sisters and Brothers,
As I’m sure you are aware, as of March 19, 2020 at 20:00 the Governor ordered all “non-life sustaining businesses” to close; all Teamsters Local 776 Business Agents are, and have been, working full time, remotely, until further notice. While working remotely we have full access to all our systems and have the same capabilities that we have in the Union offices. At the bottom of this notice is a listing of all cell numbers to directly contact the Officers and Agents; any calls made to the office will be forwarded to the Agent requested.
During this time of uncertainty All Officers and Business Agent remain committed to providing our Members the high quality representation to which they have become accustomed. Many of our members fall into the “Essential Life Sustaining Categories” and will continue to work. The Safety of our Members, and their families, are the top priority of our Union. Below are links to provide some guidance and prevention tips. If you feel your employer is not following the CDC guidelines, or that their actions are putting you or your co-workers at risk call your Business Agent immediately.
