  • Solidarity: Teamster Members continue to stand tall, stand proud!

Solidarity: On Tuesday, Rise Local 776 Members were joined on the strike line by Local 776 Members who comprise the negotiating committee for International Motors, formally Navistar. This group held the last strike in Local 776 back in 2020.  The committee offered the Rise members its support and lessons learned from its own strike.

Solidarity: Members of the United Steelworkers walked the line alongside the Rise members.

We can’t thank everyone enough for their continued support as the Rise members fight for their first Union contract. As the duration of the strike grows, so does our resolve and support for a fair contract. The strike line will be active from 9 AM until 8 PM today. Join us and become a part of something!

Teamster Members from International Motors, along with Members from the United Steel Workers Union, stand with us in solidarity!

    Day 9 A Sure Thing

It’s a sure thing that the sun will rise each day.

It’s a sure thing that Local 776 Members will be back at RISE Dispensary walking the line.

It’s a sure thing that their determination will not waver.

It’s a sure thing that their support grows daily.

Our strike continues to grow. The labor movement is behind us, the media supports us with their coverage, and friends of labor give us their support.

Join us at the RISE Dispensary at 2139 White Street in York. The strike line will be manned from 9 AM until 8 PM. Come on out and witness firsthand the determination, the endurance, and the resolve of these fearless individuals!

    Local 776 Cannabis Workers United!

Benjamin Kovler, CEO and Chairman of Rise Dispensaries, received 10.3 million dollars in total compensation value for 2024, yet refuses to agree to fair wages and benefits for his workers.

Well, Labor Day has passed, the days are getting shorter, and summer is soon over. The monthly Membership Meetings resume on Sept. 14, and the 776 Retirees Club will pick up where they left off after their last monthly meeting in May. The meeting is open to ALL Local 430 and Local 776 retirees. If you’ve never attended, why not make this your first meeting?

The next meeting of the Teamsters Local 776 Retiree Group is scheduled for Wednesday, September 17, 2025. Location of the meeting, as always, is the Camp Hill Union Hall. The time of the meeting is 10:00 AM. We will have a returning guest speaker, Marianne Dobbins. Marianne is a licensed independent broker. Marianne helps seniors navigate the waters of Medicare and healthcare supplements. She is licensed through many carriers, and her goal is to help people understand Medicare and healthcare supplements.

Today is day 8 of the RISE ULP strike. How quickly time flies, where has a week gone?

It has gone to getting acquainted with the concept of being on strike and without a paycheck for a better future.

It has gone to bonding with our fellow workers and Union Brothers and Sisters who have come out to encourage us, support us, and walk the line with us.

It has gone to growing stronger, more united, and more determined to bring RISE back to the bargaining table.

Every step taken on the line, every honking horn, and every shout of encouragement strengthen our resolve to keep fighting the good fight for what’s right.

The Strike line will be walking until 8 PM today. If you’re a Teamster or a member of any Union, stop by and support your Brothers and Sisters. If you’re a friend of labor, join us!

Please see below for important information from the IBT concerning the Yellow Corp. Bankruptcy proceedings:

Today is day 7 for our striking RISE Members, the Sabbath, a day of rest. But while many are afforded this day off, our Members are on the picket line as RISE continues to overwork their management by trying to maintain a business-as-usual atmosphere despite the ongoing labor strike.

The picket line will be manned until 6:00 PM today. Thanks to everyone who drives by, honks their horns, waves, and shouts encouragement. Many have stopped and walked the line with us in a show of solidarity.

Let’s keep the pressure on RISE by respecting the picket line. Not purchasing RISE products sends a clear message to the employer to return to the bargaining table and negotiate a fair contract.

Today is day 6 of the Teamsters Unfair Labor Practice strike at the RISE Dispensary in York. After rejecting RISE’s last, best, and final offer, The Members have taken a stand for a fair contract that provides them with fair wages, dignity, and respect. Like the song says, “It Don’t Come Easy.”

“It’s Don’t Come Easy” being out on the picket line, braving the elements, taking a stand for what’s right. The members have a right to a fair contract.

“It’s Don’t Come Easy” forgoing a paycheck to stand up for what you believe in.

“It’s Don’t Come Easy.” Having to explain to friends, family, customers, the media, and passersby who stop and question why you’re out there.

The picket line will be staffed until 9 PM tonight. If you’re a friend of Labor, stop by and offer support to these courageous Teamsters.

These Teamsters are giving it all they’ve got to secure a contract. Please respect their picket line and refrain from crossing it. RISE is only concerned with one thing: PROFITS. By supporting these Teamsters, you will send a message to RISE: People Before Profits!

Rise Local 776 members continue their strike into day  5. Yesterday, the skies turned black and the thunder was rolling.  Management, who have been attempting to keep the building open, came out to see what would happen at the strike line when it started to rain. As the clouds opened up,  and the rain started to pour, the striking members put their ponchos on and continued to hold the line.  Management retreated back inside to stay dry.

Our strength and resolve is unwavering and our message remains clear: Our members won’t leave this line until the company rescinds their last, best and final offer and negotiates in good faith on a contract that shows these members dignity and respect.

The strike line will be open until 9 pm tonight.  We want to thank everyone who continues to support these members each and every day.

Please honor our picket line. Don't purchase RISE products. Let's hit RISE where it counts: their bottom line!

Striking Local 776 Members at RISE Dispensary remain strong in their quest for a fair contract. As the strike continues, local and national news services have picked up on the story. Follow the links below to stay abreast of the story:
