Teamsters Local 776 President Edgar Thompson

Brothers and Sisters;

With great pride and honor I was sworn in as president of Teamsters local 776 on January 1 2015. I felt proud to be in the position to lead this great Local Union and honored knowing that the members of the Local Union put me in the position.

Now the campaigning is over, the election is over; a new year is upon us with new leadership of the Local Union in place. During the election cycle, with the various candidates vying for your vote, there was one constant and that one constant still remains after the ballots were counted:

We are all Teamsters!

It is time for all of us to get back to the business of supporting each other, supporting the Local Union, and supporting those who run it. The Name says it all: The International Brotherhood of Teamsters! Myself, along with the members of the Executive Board and the Business Agents are committed to providing the membership with the best representation we possibly can.

The doors to the Union Hall are open to all, regardless of whom you supported, campaigned for, or voted for. I look forward to seeing as many members that can possibly attend our monthly membership meetings.
