  • Recently the Littlestown Borough Police Dept. moved into a new expanded location to better serve the Borough Residents. The Police Department, whose officers are represented by Local 776 Business Agent Bill Olmeda, is a full service police department which operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week providing the borough’s citizens with protection using the latest in technology, equipment, and continuing education and training. The Police Department is responsible for patrolling the community, responding to calls from citizens, and investigating and enforcing criminal and traffic laws of the Commonwealth and the Borough of Littlestown.

    Last month Local 776 received an order of new Tee Shirts displaying "Teamster Pride".     Steelton Borough Police held a National Night Out event from 6-8 p.m. at the Steel-High Cottage Hill Football Field on Tuesday August 6, 2019. National Night Out is sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch, and is celebrated on the first Tuesday in August.  National Night Out provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances. Local 776 Business Agent Eddie Sutton and organizer Mark Cicak attended to show support for the Steelton Police Dept. whose Officers and detectives are represented by Local 776.

    Police officers and fire personnel were on hand to meet the community


    Some of Local 776’s finest teed it up on Sunday August 4, 2019 for some friendly competition at Eagle Crossing Golf Course in Carlisle. After a stormy Saturday the golfers were treated to a warm sunny day with a gentle breeze. There was plenty of competition on the course as members vied for first place in their respective flights, close to the pin competition, and longest drive. While the scores were tallied the members enjoyed a steak dinner while they talked about what coulda, shoulda, woulda happened on the course!

    As is the custom at Local 776 events a 50/50 drawing was held in support of the 776 Scholarship Fund. This year’s winner was Ralph Santo. The 50/50 drawing Consolation Prize of an Eagles Crossing Golf Club Gift Card was won by Chris Fortenbaugh.

    Recently Local 776 mailed the Summer 2019 Issue of the Local's Newsletter to the membership. If for whatever reason you didn't receive one, not going to mention the dog here, You can download, view, and print the latest, as well as past issues, of the Newsletter from the "Downloads" page under Member Resources.

    Summer is a busy time of the year for people moving. If you have recently moved and have yet to do so please contact the Union Hall Office during normal business hours to update your contact information to insure that you receive future mailings from the Local Union as well as the IBT.


    In cooperation with the City of York The York Adams County Central Labor Council, AFL-CIO, is sponsoring a fishing Derby on Labor Day, September 2, 2019 at Kiwanis Lake in York, Pa. Kiwanis Lake is located at 500 Parkway Blvd York, PA 17404.


    The Teamsters Union applauds the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Ways and Means for its vote to approve H.R. 397, the Rehabilitation for Multiemployer Pensions Act, more commonly referred to as The Butch Lewis Act. This Critical Legislation Now Moves to the House of Representatives for a Vote. Here's what you can do to show support for Pension Protection:


    Do you have “Teamster Pride”? Do you proudly display your Teamster Pride by wearing a Teamster shirt, hat, or jacket? Well then there’s good news for you; Local 776 has just gotten in a shipment of T-shirts in a new color: Green. The shirts have the large Teamster Logo on the back and a smaller Teamster logo on the front pocket. This is a bright green color, you’ll be sure to stand out in a crowd displaying your “colors”.  The T-shirts cost $12 each and are available for pick-up at either the Harrisburg or York Union Hall during normal business hours. Don’t delay, head on over to the Hall for one today. Have someone take your picture wearing it or proudly holding it up and E-mail it to: info@teamsterslocal776.org. We’ll post the photos of members showing Teamster Pride that we receive by July 31, 2019 on the website!


    Attention all you golfers, hackers, and duffers! It’s that time of the year again; the Local 776 Golf Tournament is scheduled for Sunday August 4, 2019. Get your partners together, dust off those clubs, find your golf shoes and come on out for a day of golf with your fellow Teamsters. Full details can be found below:

    The number of participants is limited to 36 foursomes (144 players). Spaces fill up quickly so don’t delay, get your group together and sign up! All fees must be paid by Monday July 29, 2019


    By a margin of more than 2-1 Members at Hershey Medical Center approved a new three year contract agreement.
