On June 17^th, 2026, Teamsters Local 776 was officially certified as the sole bargaining representative for Univar Solutions in Middletown, Pennsylvania. Univar Solutions specializes in providing a wide range of chemical and ingredient solutions to various industries.

After reviewing the contracts that Teamsters Locals 107 in Philadelphia and Local 249 in Pittsburgh have with Univar Solutions, the Middletown employees decided it was time to act and organize for a better future. All full-time and regular part-time lead yard specialists, maintenance department employees, material handlers, and lead material handlers at the Middletown facility were included in the bargaining unit.

Following an organizing effort that began earlier this Spring, multiple meetings were held with Local 776 organizers Ashley Cerzullo and Joshua Todd. An organizing coalition formed among Univar employees to get the word out about the benefits a strong Union contract can provide. Despite an intense Anti-Union campaign by management, the group held strong throughout the election process.

With certification in hand, Business Agent Matt Craig, Organizers Ashley Cerzullo and Joshua Todd, along with President Spencer Dearth, met with the new members to discuss proposals in anticipation of negotiations and to maintain momentum toward a contract that will provide the benefits and protections Teamsters Local 776 offers.
