Happy Birthday America!

On behalf of the Officers, Business Agents, and staff of Local 776, I would like to wish everyone a happy and safe Fourth of July. Many of us will celebrate with family and friends at the beach, in our backyards, or at community fireworks displays. No matter how you plan to spend the July 4^th holiday, please join with me in wishing our great Nation a Happy Birthday!

America is the greatest country on earth; we enjoy freedoms, liberties, and rights unmatched in the world. For 250 years, we have worked hard, played hard, and forged our country into the leader of the free world. Our progress is unmatched by that of any other country, and we will continue that progress as free Americans.

We begin every Membership meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance. It was published in 1892 to commemorate the 400th anniversary of Christopher Columbus's arrival in the Americas. Join me over the Holiday to take a moment to reflect on our great country and honor her by reciting the Pledge of Allegiance:

"I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."
