A MESSAGE FROM PRESIDENT ED THOMPSON
If you haven’t already done so please take a moment to register as a Local 776 member or retiree.
Santa’s workshop was full of gifts during the Local’s Christmas party and none of our “Teamster” kids left empty handed! When the party was over we had toys left over so it was decided to help more kids have a brighter holiday. At the monthly membership meeting the next day the Executive Board asked the membership to recommend four charities that could use our donations to brighten the Holidays for some families in need. The members recommended Olivia’s house in York, The Shriners in Harrisburg, The Hershey Children’s Hospital in Hershey, and Survivors Inc. of Gettysburg. Members, Officers and Agents delivered the toys in time for Christmas Distribution.
Commented Local President Ed Thompson “It was great to see so many kids at the party thrilled with the gifts they received and what better way to celebrate the Holiday than by sharing what we had left over with others in need.” “This is just another way we support the communities where our members work and live,” added Thompson.
