Teamster members at West York Borough have been busy recently. Patrolman Mike Mendez, a 14-year veteran of the West York Borough Police Dept, was promoted to detective. In his position as detective Mike deals with special victims, abused children, Internet crimes, and other incidents requiring his attention. Mike was promoted at a West York borough Council meeting by interim Police Chief Matt Milsaps.
Also at the West York borough Council meeting Officers Bree Wilson and Scott Musselman were presented with community service awards by Interim Chief Milsaps for their outstanding relationships with the members of the community.
Last but not least a big "Welcome to the Teamsters!" to the West York Borough Highway Dept. who ratified their first contract with the Borough in September.
