Pennsylvania American Water Teamster members have voted to approve a new five-year contract. The agreement builds on their first contract, which included provisions such as substantial pay increases, double time for work performed on a holiday, paid lunches and breaks, premium overtime language, and daily job protection with eight-hour guarantees.
This second contract includes strong wage increases, qualification bonuses, and solid contract language designed to protect the membership.
Local 776 Business Agent Matt Craig stated, "Overall, the agreement represents an important step forward and provides added security and improved compensation for the members over the next 5 years."
