On September 23, 2026, Local 776 sent our tractor-trailer to Elkton, VA, to support Teamsters Local 29 and the workers at Molson Coors. The employees were voting to become Teamsters.
On Thursday, September 24th, the votes were counted, and approximately 60% of the brewery workers voted in favor of joining the union. As a result, Teamsters Local Union 29 has been designated as the collective bargaining representative for full-time and regular part-time production, maintenance, storeroom, and wastewater employees at the Elkton, Virginia facility.
Local 776 BA Chalmer Edgin, II was on hand, along with ABF drivers Dan Wright and Randy Whitehouse, who drove the truck, standing proud with the Coors employees. In addition to the Local 776 contingent, Teamster Members from several states and the IBT stood out in the rain in support of the Coors workers.
"This is a great win for the Coors workers," commented Local 776 President Spencer Dearth. "Other Coors facilities across the country are already under contract. Bringing these workers into the Teamsters' fold strengthens the Union's bargaining position across the brewery and soft drink industry. Welcome to the Teamsters"!

Standing Strong, Standing Proud,

They're starting to feel like Teamsters!
That's Local 776 BA Chalmer Edgin, II behind the camera!
