The International is pleased to announce a new Teamster Privilege voluntary benefit for Teamster members. The new benefit, Group Critical Illness Insurance, is a voluntary insurance program that provides up to $40,000.00 in cash benefits for covered critical illnesses. This program is offered in partnership with Aflac.

An endorsement letter from General President Sean M. O'Brien and General Secretary-Treasurer Fred Zuckerman and a one-page overview of this new program are below.

Open enrollment for this program will commence on Tuesday, September 8, 2026. Enrollment will close on Friday, October 16, 2026, with an effective date of November 1, 2026.
