  • With Dauphin County now being in the "Green Phase" with regard to COVID-19 Local 776 has scheduled the July membership meeting. Full details can be found below:

On a recent website post concerning a “Union Made” Father’s Day Cookout a Union represented company was omitted. Berks Hotdogs are a Union made product, their workers are represented by the Teamsters and the United Food Workers. Our apologies for omitting our Union Brothers and Sisters, especially ones so close to home!

Covid-19 and all that it brings; social distancing, limiting person to person contact, and sheltering in place will make Father’s Day different this year. If you’re going to spend time at home with Dad this Father’s Day how about a cook-out to celebrate? Not just any cook-out; a Union Cook-out! Below are Union employers who can supply everything from the meats and all the go-withs to the grill to cook them on. Have a Happy “Union Made” Father’s Day!

NOTE: Check out how many IBT represented companies there are!

The Local Union has received the following update from the Health and Welfare Fund concerning YRCW:

A surprise parade was held  Saturday June 6th to make a final wish come true for long-time UPS driver Jason Rentzel. At 45 years old Jason has been diagnosed with stage four cancer. A handful of Jason’s coworkers put together the surprise to make his wish come true.

Here are some facts. This is not fake news. These are cold hard facts that we have to grapple with every day...

The workers of the U.S. Postal Service (USPS) are needed now more than ever, keeping us connected and delivering lifesaving supplies during the pandemic. The National Association of Letter Carriers (NALC) has launched the “Heroes Delivering” campaign to raise awareness of the critical work being done by USPS and its employees, and to urge Congress to provide temporary financial relief to USPS, which has seen a sharp decline in letter mail volume from the coronavirus-related economic shutdown. Follow the link below to visit the “Heroes Delivering” website.

    USPS Heroes Delivering

“Those who have long enjoyed such privileges as we enjoy forget in time that men have died to win them.”- Franklin D. Roosevelt

Memorial Day-It’s about those who gave the ultimate sacrifice for their country. Those who died on foreign soil, those who were taken years, if not decades later by poison encountered on the battlefield, and those who brought the demons home with them and those demons became too much to handle. This weekend is the time we thank those we can’t possibly thank in person but we thank them in memory of their ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.

“For love of country they accepted death, and thus resolved all doubts, and made immortal their patriotism and their virtue.”- James A. Garfield
